How to defeat Tz-Tok-Jad.

STEP 1: Getting to Tz-Tok-Jad/ Tzhaar Caves.
To get to Jad go to your spellbook and click the "Minigame Teleport" option, then click the "Tzhaar Cave" option. Now enter the cave infront of you.

STEP 2: Gear + Supplies needed.
1 Defence Gear
Any 1 defence helm.
Leather Body.
Black D'hide Chaps.
Black D'hide Vambraces.
Climbing Boots.
Ava's Accumulator.
Rune C'bow.
Any ring. (Preferably Archer's Ring)
Adamant, Rune, Diamond(e), Ruby(e), Dragon(e) Bolts. (Choose any of the bolts)

20 Defence Gear
Initiate Helm.
Studded Body.
Black D'hide Chaps.
Black D'hide Vambraces.
Climbing Boots.
Ava's Accumulator.
Rune C'bow.
Any ring. (Preferably Archer's Ring)
Adamant, Rune, Diamond(e), Ruby(e), Dragon(e) Bolts. (Choose any of the bolts)

40+ Defence Gear
Helm Of Neitiznot.

STEP 4: How to defeat Tz-Tok-Jad.
Okay so now you're prepared for Tz-Tok-Jad and you know where to go find him, but before you go to kill him there are a few things you should know. Tz-Tok-Jad is level 702, he attacks with all attack styles; Melee, Magic and Range so 43+ prayer is needed. You'll realise when you step in the cave that Jad doesn't appear straight away. This is because you have to Re-log first, once you've relogged it takes 10 seconds for Jad to spawn which is enough time for you to get into a safespot so Jad can't melee you. To get to the safespot run south until you see a boot shaped rock (Italy Rock) on your minimap run to the other side of the rock and stand just behind the sulphur vent. This is a very helpful tip if you don't like to mantain too much of a distance from him.

So now Jad cant melee you which is good considering he can hit 90+ with all attack styles. Now for the hard part, Jad can still attack you with Range and Magic so how are you going to protect yourself from his attacks? Well actually its quite simple. You'll notice that Jad reers up right before he goes to attack, this is the key as to telling which attack style he is going to use. If Jad reers up and slams his feet down quickly then use Protect From Range prayer, however if he reers up and stays up for a second or two then use the Protect From Magic prayer. You will need to concentrate fully on Jad's feet aswell as being able to watch your prayer because if your prayer runs out you're most probably dead. Jad switches his attack styles quite often so be aware. If you stick to this guide you should prevail over Jad and get that Firecape you wanted. CONGRATULATIONS.
